As one-half of the dazzling Bella Twins, Brie debuted on SmackDown in 2008, defeating her first opponent, Victoria, by way of “Twin Magic” — a move in which she and her identical sister, Nikki, secretly switched places during matches. In 2011, the sneaky tactic helped Brie defeat Eve and win her first Divas Championship. Every bit as cunning as she is cute, this half-Mexican, half-Italian beauty appeared on ECW, WWE NXT, and both SmackDown and Raw, where she teamedup with her doppelgänger in both love and war. Still, no matter how many Superstar hearts she has broken in WWE, Brie is always at her best when she’s breaking down Divas in the ring. It seemed as though she and her sister would leave WWE after departing in 2012, but the scheming duo returned in spring 2013, ready to unleash a new wave of “Twin Magic” on anyone who stands in their way.Outside the ring, Nikki & Brie have thrivedas the center pieces of the hit E! reality show “Total Divas,” alongside current castmates Cameron, Paige, Natalya, Eva Marie, Rosa Mendes and Alicia Fox. Following a brief sisterly rivalry that nearly tore The Bella Twins apart, Nikki and Brie are more united than ever, joining forces at Survivor Series with Briehelping Nikki reclaim the Divas Championship. Several Divas have been hot on The Bella Twins’ heels since, including Paige, who continues to pursue Nikki’s Divas Title. After Nikki turned back both Naomi and Paige in a Triple Threat Match at WWE Elimination Chamber, Paige got a one-on-one rematch with Nikki Bella on Raw, and the twins resurrected Twin Magic to ensure that the title would stay in the family. Brie Bella helped her sister retain the Divas Championship against Paige at WWE Money in the Bank 2015 with more Twin Magic. Brie’s distraction allowed Nikki to connect with the Rack Attack for the win. Although The Bella Twins have dominated the Divas division for months,adding Alicia Fox to their ranks, Paige got some much-needed backup in the form of NXT’s Becky Lynch and Charlotteon the July 13 edition of Raw, while Naomi and Tamina have gained an ally inNXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks. Team Bella clashed against PCB and Team B.A.D. in a Three-Team EliminationMatch at SummerSlam, but Lynch scored the win for her squad. Brie lost in a Beat the Clock Challenge bout to Charlotte on the Aug. 31 edition of Raw, which earned the PCB member a Divas Championship opportunity on the season premiere of Raw. Thanks to Brie and a little Twin Magic, Nikki was able to controversially retain her title to become the longest-reigning Divas Champion of all time, but that reign came to an end just days later when Nikki was defeated by Charlotte at Night of Champions. Despite that setback, Team Bella continues to assert its dominance in WWE’s intensely competitive Divas division.As this indomitable beauty looks to the future, “Brie Mode” will surely be in full effect.
